Well, I've look into this sort of thing and conclude it is just wishful thinking, an attempt by heathens to dismiss the uniqueness of Jesus. Surely there are similarities in many faith traditions, a God-shaped vacuum exists in all humans, but heathens tend to go overboard in their attempts to defame Jesus. There is something about this Jesus character that makes heathens have a cow.

But, Steve, if you wish to think Jesus is pure myth, go right ahead. I really don't care either way. Please, go right ahead and reject Him. When you die, if you don't wake up to a new reality, then you'll know we Christians were wrong. (grin)

Steve, whether you wish to believe Jesus was the Son of God or not there is NO QUESTION he existed. They have archeological proof of it now. Just the other day my wife and I were able to tour the artifacts etc etc from the Vatican. I was AMAZED at the stuff I learned on this tour. Too detailed to go into here but here is just ONE example, they have found the Tomb of St. Peter and it was located JUST WHERE it was said to be. Jdn

I live among Mormons now, and I felt I should understand their religion. I discovered Mormonism was founded by a con man, who later decided to throw in polygamy and wife swapping, apparently because he found himself lusting after young women and his neighbor's wife! He dragged his flock around the country, declaring each place he stopped Zion, until he was run off by the outraged locals, usually after trying to take over politically. An apostate Mormon wrote "To be a good Mormon, you have to have not only faith, but abandon all sense and reason." There's one born every minute...
