Gee I can sure agree with that post. Unfortunately re: China / US etc. I can't.
For starters the opportunity currently existing in the US for all people is much more recent than 1865, otherwise there would have been no Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, George Wallace, civil rights marches etc etc etc..

Viewed through this lens it seems reasonable to expect China to develop a more equitable arrangement in time. Following the trajectory of your own history that seems to have happened only fairly recently as in my living memory and I'm not that much older than you.

EIT: also it would seem fitting to be giving equal air time to India and not just China.
