Thanks Scott. The current account deficit looks ready to move to center stage as an issue for the economy. It cannot be financed at present interest rate levels. Todays FMOC meeting is likely to set the stage for some unexpected repercussions in gold and currency markets -- leading to a steeper yield curve and slower growth amidst rising inflation -- there is no free lunch and we are now standing in front of the cashier.
