In other words, he has taken a chapter right out of the Clinton diaries. Just lie and keep repeating the lie until people start believing it.

This strategy worked well for Clinton in the early years when news was dominated by CNN and the other liberal networks, but in the age of the internet and Fox, lies will cost you the election.

Just ask Al Gore. His chronic lying was his undoing. The whopper regarding his mother-in-laws dog medication put the nail in his coffin.

Brooks should write a column comparing Dean's "us rural people" with Bush's "us Texans."
