As an options expert, do you have any insight into this wackiness?

My expertise (such as it is) very much stops with the theory. LLCF would probably be your best bet as the true options expert. I have heard talk that you can ask for a new price/maturity series to be opened, but I've no idea how you would go about doing this (maybe call the CBOE and ask?).

One thing I do know is that you will be screwed on thinly traded options - the spreads are horrendous and there doesn't seem much that can be done about it.

Tuck,

I'm looking at a real time options chain display right now for BBH. For the Dec 2003 expiry, Strike prices start at $80 and go up in increments of $5 to $165.

Largest OI for calls is at the 135 strike; for puts at the 130 strike. Biggest Call and Put volume at the moment is at the 130 strike.

Looking at each expiry date out to Jan 2006, there appears to be a nice selection of strikes.

Where are you getting your Option chain displays from?
