It certainly raises some issues. I worry about the possibility of another 'My Lai'. Hopefully our commanders are guarding against that. Young hot dogs going into towns and villages is risky. I don't agree that we should return terrorism for terrorism. I don't understand why there aren't some trained Iraqi special forces by now that can be activated in this regard.

Now THAT'S scary. If this article accurately depicts the thinking of this administration, it shows a total lack of appreciation of history and a total inability to appreciate, or even comprehend the toughness, determination and willingness to sacrifice of common men of all cultures. The notion that we could "scare" people into submission, much less into loving our way of life, is so absurd that it makes me wonder how spoiled and protected these people must have been throughout their lives.
