First off I AM VIOLENTLY OPPOSED to people on a cell phone while driving. I live in an affluent community and its just plain AWFUL what I have observed nearly DAILY. The FUNNIEST thing I saw happened in a COSTCO parking lot. Two women, each on a cell phone, SIDESWIPED each other as they passed. Happened right in front of me and I couldnt resist telling them BOTH OFF for their foolishness. ie they were both involved in blaming the other.
I THINK in general SUV drivers are more careful mainly cause our vehicles are not as maneuverable as small cars thus we tend to drive slower and definitely not lane switch as much as small cars. I see these people zooming in and out of lanes all the time and say to my wife, I wonder if they realize how much space it takes ME to stop my vehicle and what will happen to THEM if I cant. jdn

The problem with the majority of SUV drivers is that they have no idea where they are in space. Too many soccer moms and weekend drivers who have no clue how to drive something so big. Maybe SUV drivers should be required to take a special driving course...
