Terry, Anyone who lived through it sees the comparisons to Vietnam everywhere in this war. Gulf of Tonkin=WMD. Yesmen generals promoted while the real generals have been retired. The soaring deficits while political hacks try to deliver guns and butter. The lack of an identifiable enemy and an identifiable cause/people/idea we are fighting for. The shabby treatment of our military. The constant lies about progress and the hiding of casualties from public view ("be the first family on your block to have your son come home in a box"). The branding of anyone who asks questions as a traitor. I guess we do learn from our mistakes. We learn how to do them all over again.
