What do you propose as a cure? Kick China out of the WTO? What makes you think you could? There are lots of other nations involved in deciding who is and is not a member.

Withdraw from the WTO? That means every other nation can raise every tariff on every US import to whatever level they choose. Know what a "trade war" is? Know what it had to do with the Great Depression as each nation practiced beggar-thy-neighbor economics?

If you are going to build a widget factory and can place it in the US and make widgets at $20 each, or place it in CHina and make them at $2 each, what are you going to do? And let's assume you're German or British, not American. What then?

Do you honestly think that because you don't like the economic changes taking place in the world, you can stop them? The genie is already out of the bottle. If you don't build that widget factory in China, they'll find out how to make them themselves and do so. How well do you think your $20 widgets will compete on the world market against their $2 widgets?

BTW, is India included in your strategy of economic nuking?
