I can't take away from Clinton's ability to connect. He's a very smart man whatever his ethics are. But he had help from Bush who infuriated his own base by raising taxes after promising not to. And then Perot capitalized on that by splitting Bush's votes and that got Clinton in office. We need another Perot to pop up and split Bush's base again. But I'm afraid the damage Bush has done to the country will live on after Bush leaves office.

PS And I always thought Mary Madeline was a mole in Bush's campaign. I never trusted her. And look at the shambles Bush's campaign was in practically the whole election season. I bet James Carvel knew everything well in advance of it happening in Bush's campaign.
