Wonder if Bush told him how fragile our banking system is.

My sense is that between now and next years election there be, at most, a small token upward valuation of the yuan vs the dollar. More likely, however, just talk that very slowly moves in the direction of sounding encouraging.

My guess is there won't be any meaningful (aka significant) upward revaluation of the yuan vs the dollar until after the US election, and into 2005, by which time I'm expecting a crushing bear market to be in full swing for all the US financial markets.

JMVVHO, of course. We will know in the fullness of time.
