BMW & Mercedes designs in the past decades have always had me wince and look the other way with their square designs .
Nothing like watching a an old square diesel Mercedes
chugging down the road like a box-barge in the canal.

My dad bought a mercedes only once , and could not take the austere German upholstering with no padding . Seems the german penchant for staunch spartan thinly padded leather upholstering , was too much for him ...and my dad knows the upholstering business, making some of the worlds finest, expensive and most comfortable
upholstered furniture.

If you are into tight leather S&M & Bondage, the old Mercedes & BMW's were/are the ticket...and how many years in a row can you make a square car ? For the status of it ?<g>

Merecedes and BMW are certainly the epitamy of the thought , that the Fuhrer wears no clothes.

Toyota's luxoury is all internal , one drives one and one falls in love . Gold standard brilliant and they all followed .
