Any thoughts on the law of unintended consequences?
Here is mine:
At a crucial time (say two months before election), Germany and France start selling US Treasuries like mad.

I proposed this before actually but this could be the icing on the cake, although this announcement should come as no real surprise to them.

I believe if they see a chance to influence our election, they will take it. Three cheers for Germany and France if they STUFF this down our throats.
