No, I worked on the original Oracle apps logistical suite and did a portion of the Dell supply chain, which you could say was productivity but since I work with multimodal transport, that is one area where the chain itself didn't change as much as the reporting did. A dotted line to productivity but not completely. That was years ago though.

Bush supporters often try to ding me on productivity improvements that cost jobs, when that happens I know they aren't really close to the matter though, because the productivity metrics these days are really only reporting offshoring trends. It is reported as productivity which is something of a misnomer.

Now I am a software development manager dealing mostly with Indian resources, or I work with startup software companies. No requirement as to what their core offering is, in fact not much productivity software is being launched now by the VCs. Lots of internet stuff, like friendster clones, things like that.
