Hi KJC
You have a good point - In N Korea, China is a huge US ally and someone that US absolutely needs. But I feel NK is a trouble spot that you have to try to keep under control. Plus everyone including the Chinese, has a stake in keeping NK contained.

NK is not important enough for US to barter away Taiwan. Secondly NK has always been there. US was using a very tough stance with China till a week back and now with the premier's visit to US suddenly made such pro-China statements.

Ofcourse why I am raising the issue is to get other differing opinions and to see if there is potential impact on the markets what shall that be.
cheers

The number one issue for the United States is stability in Asia in general, and to be quite specific, North Korea in particular.

Good comments, KJC. The Taiwan war talk here has been absurd.
