Hello Pezz, Report: I am in Beijing. The weather here is minus 2 degrees C, dry, no wind.

I converted my ZAR money to USD cash at 6.60612:1.00, and
I exchanged 44% of the newly converted cash into this 2 dollops of this London-exchange-traded finance.yahoo.com at USD 40.9/shr, which in turn is worth about 1.6 dollops of my HK-bank-traded paper gold.

I am building the inventory for the process by which I can extend the number of hours during which I may be amused by paper gold and do something about it, name buying and selling it.

I am eagerly anticipating the US debut of paper gold, and when it is true, I will be able to have close to 24/7 access to gold escape hatch.

Maurice will not have access to that escape hatch, because he says he does not need it, for he has Q and USD.

Had Maurice been around at the time of the end of the Roman Empire, he would probably have held on to his thoroughly debased and heavily clipped Roman coins as a for-sure-worth-less one-way wager, until the bitter-sweet end of the script.

Hello Pezz, Report:
I had a lunch appointment today, and am otherwise free to do as I please.

I sold 50% of my remaining PICC Property and Casualty finance.yahoo.com at HKD 3.025/shr, bought here at HKD 2.45/shr Message 19470582 <<November 5th, 2003>>, claiming a profit of 23%.

I sold all of my Chow Sang Sang finance.yahoo.com at HKD 2.525/shr for 13% gain Message 19516786 <<November 18th, 2003>>, and

I sold all of my Luk Fook finance.yahoo.com at HKD 1.45 for 11% gain, Message 19516786 <<November 18th, 2003>>

I trimmed back on the equity allocation as it looks like I may be assigned 4 dollops (out of 42 applied for here Message 19577722 December 9th, 2003) of China Life as opposed to the originally expected 2 dollops.

In addition to the allocated IPO shares, I may buy more China Life upon market open on IPO day because there are not so many sure bet opportunities out there, and when one comes along and alone, we must take full and leveraged advantage ;0)
