elmat, you are right. For the US airlines, a couple of years ago, each suitcase can be up to 70 LB without extra charge, and now for domestic, not sure about international, it is only up to 50 LB. free of charge. Must have something to do with the average weight of passengers<g>

And I remember I read that once the elevator in Capital Hill got stalled for half hour, and trapped a couple of congressmen. The reason, later found out, was that the capacity only said how many people (something like 10), not the total weight (something like 2000 LB). And those congressmen must have an average weight something like 250+ LBs<g> so they are over the capacity<g>
