Personally I don't see it happening that easily.. In terms of actual practice or for that matter suing an indian in american court.. For that matter, try suing an indian in indian court.. India has made great strides in IT etc. but rest of the system is still very different.. imho..

Look at the case of Americans trying to buy drugs from Canada.. Same standards, same controls but notice how from FDA to a bunch drug companies have made it very difficult to do that.. From overt threats (we may have to review how we provide drugs to canada and set the price etc.) to potential lawsuits etc..

As an engineer who's job is probably in India, I too feel that this offshoring is economically unstoppable. I'm doing the best can, investing in India and China with some of Julius's excellent recommendations. As an investor, I wonder if management can be offshored? Certainly CEO compensation has gotten so far out of hand that the savings realized by offshoring management would dwarf the savings realized by offshoring services. Does India or China have highly regarded business schools as it does with technical schools?
