this is NOT progress my friend. Progress is buildings, schools, bridges, roads, canals, dams, airports, subways, and public works projects. I see buildings go up every day. As far as roads, canals, dams and such, you have to talk to the extremist environuts. Seems a yellowbutted stargazer is nesting so we cannot do these. Progress is HIGHER math & science scores. Hey, How about throwing several hundred more billion dollars at them, I bet that would make the scores go up, right? Progress is affordable health care. Affordable health care is directly tied to Tort reform...willing to deal with that? Progress is safety in walking through your neighborhood at night. We have no problem walking through our neighborhood at night. Of course our neighborhood has not been reduced to fatherless houses, or houses full of kids with NO parental guidance, or governmental housing. And the most expensive house on our block is less than 90k. Wonder where we went wrong? Progress is gaining alliances with NEW countries -- not abandoning then with long-held ones. We have gained new alliances, check the Coalition of the Willing... and those old alliances are falling by the wayside. Just yesterday, I read about Canada being reduced to hoping we take care of them in case they are ever attacked, because their military is about bankrupt. And France? Who really cares, seeing as how they have been sticking it in our ear for years now...we could not count on them anyway. Progress is bringing DOWN the rate/percent of the impoverished. You have a good plan for this one? I bet it involves raising taxes and tossing money at some housing project without accountability. Progress is unites a nation -- it does not DIVIDE! I will agree with you here. So , you Dems that are spouting your hatred day and night, whipping up the 15 year olds on the net, need to stop it. Kennedy needs to shut up. Dashle needs to shut up. Gepheardt needs to shut up. Hilary needs to shut up. Kerry needs to quit acting like a pimply faced 14 year old brat, Dean needs to take 50 qualudes a day to get his screeching down to socially acceptable levels. That about covers it I suppose.
