Did you see this story. They'll probably make a movie out of it...

Priest mauled to death by pig in well

A priest has died in southern India after an hour-long fight with a wild pig in a well.

Father Joy Kariyamkuzhiyil was attacked by the animal at night when he came out of his house to investigate the barking of a dog.

Taken by surprise, the 49-year-old jumped into an old, disused well in an attempt to escape, but the pig followed him in.

Local residents say the priest and pig wrestled for an hour before relatives managed to rescue him with a rope.

The assistant vicar of the St Thomas Jacobite Church at Vaalkulambu in Kerala state was taken to hospital but died before arriving.

A man from the village, who is known only by his first name Biju, told newspaper Sanje Suddhi: "It was bizarre. The beast was determined to maul him to death."

Local housewife Rossama George said: "The incident has left us completely shattered. If such a thing could happen to a man of God, ordinary people like us are even more vulnerable."
