Well, I always like DiFi, but I have to admit her medicare vote has me baffled. The reason I mentioned her as a possible Dean VP, although very unlikely due to California assuredly voting dem, is because she has a reputation of appealing to the fiscal conservatives... these would be the republicans who are disenchanted with Bush spending. Since Dean has a rep as a "traditional democrat"- the tax and spend image could be his achilles heel. I remember Peter Ubberoth wanted Feinstein to run for governor as a fix to the Davis mess.

Ah well, if Clinton had been removed we wouldn't have the joy of another term for Barbara Boxer, now would we?!

Boxers resiliency provides me countless hours of amusement. Although I don't like her, I hope she stays in again, much to the dismay of the conservatives.
