In the immediate days after 9/11 I was impressed that Bush went out of his way to try to head off a backlash against the Muslim community in the United States -- it was a dangerous time and I thought it went well. When Bush moved against the Taliban I thought it was decisive and necessary. But when Cheney did his international tour to do the soft-launch of unilateral preemptive war against Iraq, I was appalled and I have been appalled at the way the Bush Administration has handled Iraq from that moment on, up to and including to this day.
