We should get the best company, at the best price, no matter where it comes from to complete the work in the quickest time possible. If that means a German company then so be it.

Until recently a French company had the meals contract for our forces in Afghanistan.

American soldiers do not want those who not only failed to support their liberating efforts, but also opposed them, to be preparing their meals, servicing their vehicles, etc.

I look at it like this, Michael. Germany, France, and Russia did everything in their power to prevent the war. They didn't pledge a single red cent towards reconstruction at the Donor's conference, and haven't contributed more than a pittance through the EU's miserly 200 million. And they continue to carp and obstruct as much as they can get away with. Yet when it comes time to hand OUT money, they expect to be at the front of the line. Nonsense. There are more than plenty of good, competent bidders for the reconstruction within the pool of nations representing the coalition.
