Here in Northern Virginia, courts will honor both Jewish marital agreements ("ktuba") and Muslim marital settlements ("mahr" or "sadaq"). I know because I've been involved in cases involving both.

I don't think a court in Virginia would feel bound by an agreement between the parties about the children if the court thought it was not in the best interest of the children to enforce it, and courts in Virginia can set aside agreements not to seek spousal support in the event that it would be unconscionable.

Outside the area of family law, Virginia courts would enforce any agreement that did not violate Virginia law or public policy.
