Kerry's vote was conditional, he said at the time. He said if Bush didn't go the UN route and invade only as a last resort he would hold his feet to the fire on it. He did. Kerry also urging patience to prep for the post-invasion Iraq. Would have been the smart thing to do obviously.

Did Dean say Saddam was a danger? I don't know, but this race isn't over yet. I may have jumped the gun. There seems to be a backlash against the Gore endorsement. People don't like the election being decided before they can vote. It may actually hurt Dean, especially in Iowa and New Hampshire. It also makes people feel sorry for guys like Kerry and Lieberman and brings up the electability isue again. CNN reported today that Karl Rove loves the idea of running against Dean.
