Cheyney's Halliburton connections:

cbsnews.com

If this was the Clinton's, would it not stink as foully?

He put his stock options into a trust --- upon assuming the office of VP of the US --- but it's HARDLY a 'blind trust', BECAUSE HE KNOWS WHAT'S IN IT.

Now, if he's pledged those options to 'charity', then that's news to me --- never saw anything in the news about it.

Can you provide a link?

(Anyway... what use would a charity have for stock options if they are 'way under water' as you said?)

The allegations against Cheney are that he might have structured Halliburton processes and controls during his tenure as CEO, such that it is in a position to derive profits in case of conflicts. At this stage they are probably just wild assed allegations but some fodder to people who want to stick to that theory and might want to leverage this to get him to open Energy Papers.
