How VW got the Chinese market. VW developed a car caller Santana. It competed in the same segment and price range with Audi but it flopped.

They manufactured in Brazil and China. Today, a friend who have to China told me the dream of every Chinese is to have a Santana!!!!

I don't think Germans are -in average- smarter than Americans. It is the Europeans, not having that big market at home, tend to be more tuned to other people's cultures since they have to sell, sell, sell.
