i think it is more like 43% of all tradeable Treasurys.

<Perhaps Russ has the correct numbers.. I have the correct numbers (and breakdown by country) for "marketable" treasuries at the end of 3Q. This comes from Contrary Investor's 11-18 write-up. As we know foreign CBs have been quite busy this quarter, so 45% may be in the works. Foreigners had 17.5% of corporates, and 13% of agencies at end of 2Q, but that was eons ago at the current parabolic pace. As we said earlier, how is the current environment any different in terms of macro financial and economic imbalances than what has already been experienced over the last five to ten years?
