Real estate is tricky because there's so much of it. People forget so soon that it is location that counts. Generally, most real estate goes down in price in real terms. But that's not the crash scenario that the sensationalist's are writing about where everyone gets wiped. If that were true other prices would fall faster and the whole system would unwind. That's not going to happen but within this market sector certain people and areas will get ass-kicked. It's back to the old greed and fear thing with some leverage thrown in just to really screw things up or down as the case may be.
