As most know, the EU is meeting this weekend to discuss a new constitution, and all is not well. A couple of quotes ... "One cannot become a member of the European Union and want to start this membership with a veto" and "If we manage to get a deal, it will be a miracle" are indicative. From news.bbc.co.uk Meanwhile, in Kabul, the Loya Jirga is also meeting to decide the new Afghani constitution - also contentious. realcities.com Although nothing is sure, there are indications of too much theocracy, and not enough safeguards of human rights - particularly for women.
