You and I agree France does not deserve anything. I also agree that it is US taxpayer money. Having said that, IMO diplomacy and long term interest of US taxpayers and Iraq requires that we do not publicly dis a whole bunch of countries off the process. As William Kristol suggested, do it quietly -- if it has to be done at all. Further it does not get us any mileage except the satisfaction of getting even with them. France, however should be singled out for worse treatment than this.
