If Bush had waited three weeks to invade, he could have gotten a second resolution. But he couldn't wait. He had ants in his pants.

Many UN countries just wanted to give their own inspectors a chance. I think they were doing a good job. In fact, they actually found a few illegal missiles. Our inspectors have found jack.

The point is that Bush-Cheney never told us the truth, that they were going to invade nomatter what. They certainly never told the congress that. The UN approach was something Cheney resisted, but Powell convinced Bush to go that route (along with Kerry's demands for it). Also they exggerated the evidence of WMD's and fabricated some of it too. Put it all together and it was a shoddy, poorly-planned, dishonest exercise meant to disguise their real motives.
