What exactly is the political risk of buying SA gold shares? I've stayed away from these stocks because I've held the impression that there is political risk, but now I'd like to study the matter. Any available links for due diligence would be appreciated.

<Wad do you know the premium or discount that ASA trades to now in comparison to its net asset value?>

It is traded at 8.72% discount. The Net Assets Value is 49.07/share. What a buy at here. I envision it traded at premium some day<G>.
