Would seem that a "breakout" above 3.50% would send an undeniable inflation, big rate increase signal, although I feel 3.30% is signal enough.

Why?
All it might mean is unwillingness FOR WHATEVER reason for foreigners to buy treasuries. There can be a dozen reasons, and not all of them have anything to do with inflation.

Gold up $4 and treasuries up.
I bought 10 more eurodollar futures just seconds before another jump today.

I see more of a positive correlation between gold and treasuries than an inverse one.
