Yes, to his credit Bill actually had a good idea, that was to extend Medicare down to age 55 for anyone who wanted it. Only difference was those 55 to 65 would pay the FULL PREMIUM estimated to be about $400 a month at the time. Since in general, people 55-65 are healthier then those over 65 in effect those people would have been underwriting the strength of the pool and bolstering Medicare. It was a WIN WIN situation for everyone involved BUT after Hillary's attempt to hijack the medical field no one would listen to anything with a Clinton name attached. jdn
