If Clinton had done such things you'd have been crying for indictments.

And what proof do you offer that I would be crying for indictments of Clinton, besides your "holy" opinion? Because I challenge some of the gibberish you write does not make me a Clinton indicter. You're not really that dense, are you? You're just kidding me, right?

My prior post to was to illustrate that Bush is supportive of what the Pentagon is doing in their accounting follow up with the various contractors. The CNN news item on Halliburton had to do with the pricing of fuel that was being delivered to the military forces in Iraq. CNN was not addressing who should receive contracts or if they should be no-bid. Can't you ever stay on topic? eom

Comment: Experts say flap over no-bid contracts has no merit

news.mysanantonio.com

.....<font size=4>During the Clinton administration, the Pentagon issued a temporary no-bid contract to KBR<font size=3> to continue its work in the Balkans. In the months leading up to the Iraq war, Defense officials realized they needed plans in case Saddam Hussein once again set his oil wells ablaze. <font size=4>KBR<font size=3> did the study under Logcap. Then in February, with the war looming, Pentagon planners issued an additional bridge contract to <font size=4>KBR<font size=3> to put out any fires that were set. <font size=4>KBR<font size=3> had the experience. Its personnel were in place. It would have been crazy to open up a three-to-five-month bidding process at that time......
