Maybe the Clinton administration didn't consider this writer a credible source of information. He gives himself away by saying Clinton turned Osama into a "hydra monster". That is a ridiculous exaggeration. In fact, Clinton made frequent attempts to kill Osama while Bush's father was riding around in Osama's father's jet and GW Bush squashed all FBI investigations into the Saudi connections upon taking office. I heard an anti-clinton Sudanese conspiracy theorst interviewed on TV. They asked him if the rumor had ever gotten to anyone high in the US government and he said no. It was all through intermediaries. So Sandy Berger and Clinton never even got the offer? Or if so through very suspicious sources. Sounds exactly like the theories about Saddam wanting to give up before the invasion and using second level intermediaries and un-credible people to deliver messages. Bush could have avoided the war and still taken uot Saddam. At least that of the rumor of war. Our government cannot beleve every crackpot coming out of the woodwork. If you know anything about the reality of the intel community you know that it's a game of chance, suberfige, lies, stings and baiting. They only move when they they are convinced someone is credible. Bush's intel on Iraq was 90% wrong, yet you attack Clinton? Both are equallly weak on intel it seems. When has Bush ever fulfilled a promise? He still dont have Osama, Saddam or WMD's. I have a bigger question. Why after 3 years has Bush not captured Osama, nor does he ever mention him? Osama is a much bigger threat to us than Saddam ever was. If there some kind of secret will NOT to capture Osama. If so, why? Does he know too much? Was he a CIA asset? Can he blackmail the Saudi regime who are so close to the Bushes? Sounds like there is a lot of blame to go around. But Bush has no excuse after 9-11 to still be kowtowing to the Saudis and not going full-out to capture Osama. Saddam and Iraq seems a lot like a massive dstraction from the main event. Where the hell is he? And where the hell is the guy in the WHite House who outed our WMD's CIA undercover agent? Why is that now being covered up - yet again? That is treason.
