I've read the peak oil argument and it's fundamentally flawed in it's conclusions.

that is a meaningless statement unless you back it up with reasoning. it's bad writing style to simply say "it's fundamentally flawed in it's [sic] conclusions", without stating WHY. if you had written this in a newspaper article draft, a decent editor would have torn it to shreds. if you want to have a proper debate, you must debate properly.

since there are countless career petroleum geologists behind the peak oil argument, i trust you are highly qualified to assess the "fundamental flaws" of their argument.

Oil production matches consumption

congratulations for noticing the obvious. the issue is the price at which they match.

btw, relying on BP for oil statistics to back up your complacency argument is like relying on the White House Press Secretary to tell the whole story about George Bush.

this is my last comment on our little discussion here. feel free to have the last word, but remember: no cat ever came down when a dog barked up the wrong tree. barking louder will only make you hoarse.
