First of all I'm not an atheist. Second, Our government supports no religion, which is not the same as supporting atheism. There is no cost associated with the operation of a secular government. One can only imagine the cost of government if we were to allow religion to control government. We'd have every zealot in the land trying to remake the government in the image of their particular religion. This is the mess that your kind would foist upon the nation. Thank god we have constitutional protection from this form of proselytizing. I'm in agreement that government should not be involved in raising people's children, except in the cases of neglect or abuse. Family life, morality and religion are individual pursuits, and are not regulated by the government. Orca
