I just noticed the Thanksgiving visit didn't help the Plastic Turkey's ratings in the polls. Karl Rove has got to be dirtying his undershorts. He used to be able to get the American public goosestepping on command. Now they are showing signs of independent thinking. *Quelle horror!* This doesn't bode well for our futures. Herr Rove is going to be backed into a corner and be forced to perpetrate an Operation Northwoods style 'false flag' terrorist attack on the U.S...... Oh, wait a minute, they already did that. Drats. Foiled again.

Liz, that's incredible, considering the effort put in and coverage given. From watching the self-congratulatory pundits you'd never know that. Hubris guarantees eventual failure, I just didn't know the American people would start to catch on so soon. This could be another feature of Gore's decision, the fact that Gore is more in tune with the populace than the self-involved Old Guard. If they can no longer push buttons and cause the Body Politic to twitch on cue, they will go into full-scale panic. As Ray says, we'll be seeing a ratcheting up of fireworks by the mean-spirited spooks in R&D, even as ex-neocon rats start deserting the ship.
