The GDP measuring system is a big lie. It counts debt and war as growth and doesn't discount environmental degradation, loss of jobs or loss of living standards. Now wonder the GOP uses it all the time.

GDP is broken and is counting all American companies product output as if it is produced in the USA.

Where on earth did you get that idea?

"GDP covers the goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States."

Economic illiteracy is rampant. Why do you insist on promoting it?

The "recovery" is mostly spin. It's also being propped up by unsustainable deficit spending, tax breaks, mortgage refis, consumer borrowing and war costs. The shocker is that all this spending is creating virtually no jobs and few good jobs. Wages are down, benefits are down and Bush and Delay's cronies are raiding the Treasury on a daily basis.
