Thanks, what you say is reassuring. Sounds to me like the safest possible vehicle to hedge against (and even profit from) inflation. Sure wish my wife's retirement pension could be put in that; but at least it is 100% in TIPS (which unfortunately have some interest rate risk).

Fidelity sells the institutional shares with no fee, even though I didn't have the $5 million minimum required per prospectus. (G).

THAT is one expensive prospectus! -g-
