good morning altie-

we haven't had a federal election
here yet. what happened was, when
chretien resigned as prime minister
he also stepped down as leader of the
liberal party. martin was elected
leader of the liberal party by delegates
and therefore became prime minister.
i'm not sure how long he has before
he must call an election, but it could
be as early as spring.

i didn't catch the cleansing process
but read about it in the paper this
morning. apparently improving the
quality of life for native people is
among the highest priorities of martin's
new government. we'll see.

Martin promises to patch up relations with US

i'll tell him - forget about it until there's
a regime change <g>.

Anybody else catching that Jet/Steeler game in the snow?

They already have had to shovel the yard lines.

Lots of slipping and sliding.
Just like the games I used to play with my friends in the snow.

What fun!
