Like all emerging markets, the energy (I like) and telecom (which I do not like) shares comprise a vast majority of the ‘blue chip’ stock index. H shares traded in HK fit such a scheme. H-shares also have beasts such as Shanghai Industrial and other manufacturing shares. I do not, as a habit, like manufacturing shares, in China or anywhere else.
