EP, <<… could mean that Japan is building a coal reserve just like China is building a petroleum reserve.
Wonder what the specific reasoning is ?>>

… I suggest we do not waste too much time trying to figure out the motivations, and just trust the old standby reasoning:
(a) fear index is high
(b) terror panic is near
(c) price rises will be for sure

<<It would be good for all Asia countries to have energy reserves, that way a short term interruption in oil supply would not crash the world economy>>

… I am less concerned about the crash of the world economy than I am fearful for my personal nest egg, and so I am starting to whittle down my cash hoard of every flavor and upping the ante on things and derivatives of things.

<<You might consider getting lots of the smaller size gold coins … At $2000 per oz, you might be able to have a dozen friends at the restaurant>>

… I am counting on the availability of paper credit against my then augmented ‘central bank reserve’ of revalued gold, and if so, not only I will have more friends at the eateries, but also in the banks :0)

Chugs, Jay
