It is this very kind of attitude that the law and the constitution protect Americans from.
The Constitution actually protects me from you, giving me freedom of speech such that I might openly tell the truth about your heathen religion.
In your piety, you claim that my religion is void.
When it steals money from others as it does and yet produces nothing but moral filth, death and dissention, it is not only void, it is disgusting. Were it not such a thief, there would be no problem.
And this is the claim of every religion in the world...that the other guys god is an idol. And on this question alone, billions murdered...in the name of God.
Yup, and your leftist religion is actually the worst culprit here. It claims your god approves the countless millions of innocent children being slaughtered across the world, many of these murders being funded by dollars stolen by people just like you from people just like me. I am not murdering anyone, and never have. Indeed I defend against these murders whenever I can. You do not. You actually approve of the murders. That is your religion.
Evolution is not a forced curriculum. If you disagree with what's being taught at your public school, then you can lobby the school board to add or delete curricula as you see fit.
Such lies and you know it. You claim all you need to do is lobby the school board and get the changes made and everything will be fine. Such lies. People have been doing just this for years and each time they do the school board gets sued by you goodfig.org. And if the case ever makes it to court, Evolution is typically forced upon everyone by people just like you.
laws.lp.findlaw.com In frieler v Tangipaoa Parish the community was clearly feeling that a lot of viewpoint discrimination was occurring in the schools. They were not arguing for the teaching of any religion at all. They were not even arguing for a fair presentation of creationism as one of the competing theories against evolution. All they wanted was a statement to be read before classes on evolution were taught.
It is hereby recognized by the Tangipahoa Board of Education, that the lesson to be presented, regarding the origin of life and matter, is known as the Scientific Theory of Evolution and should be presented to inform students of the scientific concept and not intended to influence or dissuade the Biblical version of Creation or any other concept.
They just wanted to let everyone know that the board was not trying to teach students against creation or any other belief, but were instead simply trying to teach the theory of evolution. The citizens did exactly as you claimed they needed to do. The Board accepted their wishes as reasonable and made the changes. The board was sued and evolution was forced upon everyone by people just like you.
In McLean v. Arkansas Board of Education, 1982 the board just wanted to do as you say, alter the curriculum as they saw fit. They didn’t even want to get rid of evolution. They just wanted to also teach competing creation theory. But the court said these folks could not do that because it would be teaching religion. The fact is, it is not teaching religion anymore than teaching evolution is teaching religion. It is not teaching Christianity or Buddhism, or Islam or any religion at all. It is just presenting the generic view that the universe was created by a super intelligence and showing the scientific rationale for it. The children need not accept it or they may accept evolution. All the board wanted to do was inform students that other opinions existed. But they were not free, contrary to your claims, to just do it. People just like you forced evolution upon everyone – and at the expense of people who think students need to see all sides of the existence issue.
It is not as simple as you’ve claimed. Evolution is indeed a forced curriculum, and contrary to leftists, it is every bit as religious as its competitors. Just look at how the leftists fight the competition. Rather than simply let students learn the competing theories involved concerning our existence, the leftists just discriminate against views they don’t like, claiming they are not “science.” It is just a dishonorable play on language. Leftists are just unwilling to let the thing play out honestly and they want to take my money to fund their dishonor.
Your beef is with your local school board, not me or the federal government.
It is with you and people just like you. It is also with the federal government because the government is responsible for promulgating the language fraud employed by leftists.
Maybe you can get them to stop teaching about the scientific method too.
They can teach whatever they wish. The scientific method is just a system. But if someone wants to teach religion with it, they ought not take my money to do it. That is just reasonable.
I do think that it is appropriate to include in any discussion of evolution, a discussion that some religions may not agree with the thoughts of Darwin.
Fine, but some boards merely wished to declare that in teaching Darwin they were not meaning to discourage other beliefs. Other boards merely wished to teach evolution, but also reveal its problems, not discussing god at all. Others wanted to teach various creation theories that many believe are discernable by science and in none of this have they been free. And that is really fine. The problem is, they ought not be forced to pay to have their viewpoint discriminated against, however asinine we think those beliefs are. They ought not be forced to pay for evolution just because you think evolution is gospel truth. You really can’t prove it is gospel truth because you just were not there and the criteria others require to accept it as gospel simply may be out of your reach. Yet, you run roughshod over these people, claiming you know what truth is and that they are just going to have to pay for your beliefs. That is very wrong. People ought to be free to be whatever they wish to be, as long as they are not infringing upon the rights of others. You do not have the right to steal their money to fund your religion.
And that any discussion or teaching should be done with parental permission. There's no reason that your child should be forced to learn about Darwin.
And there is no reason why I must spend money on your religion either. You just do not have the right in nature to force these funds. But you do it – and it is wrong.
Personally I want my child to know about the scientific method and the theories of Darwin. I doubt that you have even read Darwin.
Well you are quite wrong.
The theory of evolution is just that, a theory. It must stand the test of the scientific method. Some might disagree with the theory. Then they should put the scientific method to work to disprove the theory.
The scientific method is no longer based upon empirical evidence where evolution “just so” stories are concerned.
I challenge you to do this. Many people do not want to believe in adaptation, or in mutations. That is to your right, to your own detriment. New scientific discoveries in the use of DNA are showing that adaptation is mapped genetically.
Please. No one that I have ever known has ever claimed that adaptation does not occur. Christians, for example, claim that all humans came from two original humans and then adapted over time into the various people-groups we see today. Your are either just plain ignorant of my view and those of many others, or you are just acting like a leftist.
That the Alaskan king crab and the tiny hermit crab share the same DNA sequencing. It's quite different from other crabs in the same regions. This supports the theories of Darwin and adaptation.
Perhaps, though reason demands we keep ever in mind that similarity does not necessarily mean common origin. That is a logical fact that is ever lost on evolution religionists.
I also believe that sex education in the schools ought to be optional. No one should be forced to learn about sex, reproduction or condom use.
And no one ought to be forced to pay for the promulgation of this worldview either. It is pure religion to think it acceptable to teach sex apart from its implications for the family – sex as mechanics. No one has the right in nature to force the funding of this empty religion upon anyone. Yet people just like you force it all the time. Such rogues, stealing from others to fund godlessness.
When I took health class, parental permission was required. I think that it should still be required. Most people want their kids taught these things, and that makes it appropriate to be offered. If you disagree get involved in your local schools to make these subjects electives.
I really don’t care to get involved with anything concerning public education. I actually want to have nothing to do with it because it is filled with religion and I do not think government has the right to teach religion. Government ought not force anyone to fund religion either.
I think you should run for your local school board. It seems that your beef is with the education being offered in your school.
Nope. I just don’t want one penny of my money to fund your religion. Worship whatever garbage you wish, just do it on your own dime. Teach evolution until your kids crap apes. I really and most sincerely do not care about this. Just please don’t teach this religion with public funds. What you have done has been to stack the courts with leftist ideologues who literally take the godlike position of telling the masses what is true and what is not. And then you refer to this decree to justify stealing funds for your religion. It is quite wrong.
I believe in separation of church and state. I also believe in the freedom to worship as you choose.
Well then let’s just remove the Ten Commandments and all references to God from our public buildings and completely erase America’s religious tradition. And let us also completely avoid forcing naturalist religion upon others. You teach on your dime, pay for your Sodomites. I will even allow you to murder children, even your born children, without a single complaint. Just do your dirty leftist deeds with your own money. No? Well then we’ll just have to keep fracturing… |
