Maybe we just need WWIII! We've certainly got the right President for it, but I think we'd be on the wrong side of it.

If you watch the CNBC talk shows you can see the supply siders grasping at pretty much any straw that leads to a conclusion that growth is just around the corner. I think even Jim Cramer has started to catch on, but not Kudlow. Kudlow thinks 04 is going to be a "barnburner" economy. Whenever the jobs numbers come out they sort of freak out, or try to explain it away with the "household employment" figures.

during WW2. We were also running annual deficits of 20-25%
of GDP.

It is not too surprising that the size of economy
"doubled" during that period, since we ran a
cumulative deficit equal to about 100% of GDP
during that period!
