Have you heard of imperialism? You provide the same logic as the imperialists. Why was it not OK for Saddam to capture Kuwait and control what goes on in Kuwait?

Non sequitur.

Isn't that kinda like asking why the Allies had the authority to overthrow Hitler after he attacked Poland?

Please continue with this train of logic Chinu.. I find it remarkably easy to refute.

The nation is outraged at the Halliburton story.

Oh why don't you just whine.. The excessive price of fuel supplied by Haliburton has been under investigation for some time now.. If DOD finds they overcharged, they will have to pay that money back, or not receive payment. This stuff happens all the time.

Haliburton is claiming that they have been charged excessive amounts by the Kuwaitee wholesaler who provides it to them.. That ALSO would not surprise me..

Higher wholesale cost, tack on labor for driving it to the front lines, and Haliburton may not be making the kind of profit margin you seem to imply that they are..

But someone is making a buck, that's clear... If Haliburton's claim is correct, and it is discovered the Kuwaiti fuel provider has been profiteering, are you going to be as aggressive in apologizing to them?

The bottom line is you're getting caught up in the BS, if not actually trying to fan the flames.. If you think Haliburton would honestly risk a potential multi-Billion series of contracts merely to engage in short-term overpricing of their fuel, then I suggest that apply to become their CEO..

You're problem is that you can't see the forest for the trees Chinu.. That, and the fact that you can't stand Bush...

But if this were Clinton conducting these actions, I can bet you wouldn't be out here haranguing his policies..

And believe it or not, neither would I.

I can see past the messenger and read the message for what it is. The world is facing one of those cycles of historical conflict which seems to arise when the demographic or political-economic balance of power shifts in a dramatic manner.
