James Baker is going around asking those countries to forgive Iraqi debt. Meanwhile we just publicly stiffed them. I wouldn't give many contracts to them either, but carrots would work a lot better than sticks now with those countries so anti-Bush.

They aren't anti-American or at all pro-Saddam, just anti-Bush. That fact has been clearly proven and has been twisted around by the Bushies. In fact, the French and Germans are a lot of help in Bosnia and Afghanistan.

Their opposition to an invasion of Iraq has to be respected. As we see today, Saddam was a lot less dangerous than the Bushies advertised. Looks like a common criminal. Still it's good we captured hm. Maybe that will save some lives.

No hand-wringing here, pal. Just that the lack of diplomacy of this administration has cost us hundreds of billions and hundreds of lives. It was just piss-poor planning and foolishly impatient. Our troops have done great but the administration has seriously bungled things.
