I'm very happy we captured Saddam! I hope it keeps a couple of Americans from getting killed. I don't think it "wins" this stupid, elective war, anymore than the capture of bin Laden will "win" the war on terrorism. I don't think the insurgents are fighting for Saddam, and I don't think they're going to quit now that he's captured. I think this war will seem just as wrongheaded at election time as it does now, only with a few hundred more dead Americans.
